Superior Fine Material Washer

Fine material is usually defined as 3/8” (9.5mm) and less. However, the Superior Fine Material Washer screws will accept a maximum feed of 3/4” (19mm). In addition to minor scrubbing, the machinery is capable of removing clays, silt, and unwanted lightweight contaminants. Heavier material settles to the bottom and is augured up the tub.

As it proceeds up the incline, water drains from the material and is eventually discharged with a moisture content of 15-25%.

Off-the-shelf pillow block bearing installed outside tank for protection and easy maintenance.
Adjustable overflow weir encourages overflow water to level, which maximizes fines retention.
Load zone baffle calms water to help maximize fines retention.
Variety of application-specific shoes manufactured with internal steel plate to hold up in harsh applications.
Curved belly pan eliminates dead spots for material to gather common to 90° angles.
Fully-guarded drive system utilizes common off-the-shelf, shaft-mounted gear reducer.
